One of a series of twelve native Montana trees, the Western Juniper is gnarled, elegant and full of character. This intrepid species lives in a variety of habitats: on dry hillsides, in mid- elevation forests, and even at the edge of freshwater lakes.

Designed and carved for the passing between life and death in Missoula’s first hospice center.

Printed by hand using a Takach intaglio press on heavyweight Rives BFK 100% cotton paper. Hand-colored with layers of luminous watercolor.

Each print is painted individually by hand. Variations between pieces in the edition are normal and part of what makes each piece unique.
