In the shadow of Chief Mountain, a sacred site for the Blackfeet People, Vital Ground purchased a 75-acre private inholding along Kennedy Creek in 2020 and returned full ownership and stewardship to the Tribe. Land trusts across the country are partnering with tribal nations on similar “land back” projects.

Printed by hand on heavyweight Rives BFK 100% cotton paper. Hand colored with layers of luminous watercolor.
