Hand-painted woodcut of Iinnii days, an annual celebration in Blackfoot/Blackfeet country of the return of the buffalo to their land and culture. I joined the celebration for 3 days in 2022 and was inspired by every part from the celebration: the dancing, the singing, the prayers, the scraping of the buffalo hide, the kids re-enacting a buffalo hunt, the handwork, the conviviality, the documentaries and the words of the elders. May all people be whole.
