Coexistence is messy, gritty work. On the rangelands of the Northern Rockies, where wild backcountry butts up against ranching tradition, both predators and livestock stay safer when range riders are out and about, keeping track of who’s where and heading off run-ins before they happen. Vital Ground has proudly supported dozens of range rider programs with partner grants, along with scores of other conflict prevention initiatives, from electric fencing to public education.
